Finally I have some free time so I can continue with the modeling – sorry for that delay in the progress!
So far I have managed to complete basic modeling / mapping of the Vodní street + following streets that will be visible from the actual track.
Quick in-game test:
It just looks the same as in the Blender but I will have to fiddle with some mipmapping settings of the .dds texture exporter.
You can see that the road is not antialiased well in the distance.
The performance is still 60fps on HD3000 – I don’t expect any issues in this stage of development though.
Now I am moving to modeling the road on the main bridge.
It wont be as hard because it is quite uniform – long four-lane road with some lines variations so hopefully expect some update info soon! 🙂
